PINEAPPLE

A plant that Mom liked at the Pineapple Plantation.

Molly and I at the North Shore, Sunset Beach - this lasted for all of about fifteen minutes before we headed home...

We drove past the Temple - we really are trying to get in for a session before everyone leaves!

And this is us at the plantation, thank goodness there is a shadow over my ankles, but you can still tell that they are swollen...
Mom, Molly and I visited the Dole Pineapple Plantation on the North Shore yesterday. It was fun! We spent an hour in the giant maze, and still didn't find all 8 of the little hidden stations. We found 7 and were hot and grumpy, so we gave up without the 8th - but we still had lot's of fun! Then, since we were already at the North Shore, we ventured through Haleiwa, ate lunch at Haleiwa Joes (which wasn't great...typical) and went through a few surf shops. After leaving Haleiwa and the massive amounts of tourists, we drove to Waiamea Bay - which had even more tourists, we would choose the 4th of July weekend, and decided not to stalk people walking to their cars. Off to Sunset Beach - which wasn't packed amazingly enough! We sat on the beach for a bit, but were so tired from the long day (left the house at 9 a.m. and it was 3 p.m. by the time we got to Sunset) that we were grumpy and obstinate - Molly - so we headed home down Kamehameha Highway. Pulled through the traffic circle in front of the Temple, glanced at BYU Hawaii, and ran through the McD's drive-through for liquid refreshment!

It was a long day, the second in a row - on Wednesday I had an appointment for the baby and because I am only 39 weeks (and 4 days) but my belly is measuring at 43 weeks, and my ankles are beyond swollen, the Doctor wanted to make sure nothing was going on with the baby, namely that there wasn't too much fluid in my belly. I sat on a monitor (I believe it's called a Non-stress Test) for an hour - everything was normal. I had blood drawn, and peed in a cup - everything was normal. Then had an ultra-sound to measure the amount of amniotic fluid around the baby - everything was normal. So we went home after six hours in the hospital. That was Wednesday, today is Friday...still no baby. I know, she's not due until Monday...but it wouldn't hurt anyone if she came, oh, I don't know, NOW :)

I'll have to add some pictures later...time to make breakfast!
