Quite a task...

I attempted fried chicken.
One bottle of canola oil later:

Homemade and lumpy mashed potatoes:

A home-cooked meal. Too bad the skin of the chicken was so salty that our lips were shrivelled (sp?) for an hour afterwards.
While we were eating dinner, I'm sure the kids of the neighborhood were out looking for their basketball - but they'll never find it, George has claimed it. (We do have a rule. He can't have it until it's been abandoned for at least two weeks and is nowhere near the spot that we first saw it - moved by people or wind, whatever. Two weeks and we can't tell him 'no' anymore.)

Of course, who gets to clean it up?

I have a really easy recipe that I learned in Germany. (well, you can find it here too) Basically it is Schnitzel and it yummy. Let me know if you want it. I was just telling Chris about printing off the blog, but now I have an address for it. Thanks.
