Finally

I'm finished with my ABC Quiet Book for Galina. As I've said so often recently, "I never want to see felt again." Hopefully, with time, this will pass because I have a lot of ideas for another ABC book and will probably need to make a colors, numbers, seasons, etc. book! I have enough felt left over to make two or three smaller books. I went a little big on this one (I'm related to Johnny :) but I think Galina will really enjoy it, especially seeing as it will be the only thing we'll have room to carry on Sundays!

I'll give semi-credit where credit is due. I'd say 85% of the pages I copied from pictures I saw online, I had to come up with a few of my own - those are the ones that I posted, my favorite pages. I don't think this book will hold up very well, but as soon as I can get to Wal-Mart, I'm going to buy grommets for the page holes and the cover. Maybe that will extend it's life a little bit. I LOVED LOVED having the serger to do the pages. If I were well versed enough in the world of serger, I'm sure I'd have used it more, but as it was - it was a life saver! I did buy white thread half-way through the book, but I liked the mix up the pink/orange combo gave me :)

I'll post about our LONGEST DAY EVER (courtesy of the Tsunami, although I'm not making light of it because the earthquake really did a number on Chile and that is heartwrenching) - I took a few pictures and for posterity's sake, I'll post them tomorrow, but tonight...well, I'm just so glad to be finished with the quiet book...finally...
