In A Rut

Seems like we're big couch potatoes around here lately. Brian's gone on to the second part of his adventure (as Galina calls it). The dogs are getting walks more regularly, which is surprising since it is Brian's job. But we need the fresh air. I took that picture a few days ago. It's actually 6:35 p.m. on Friday night. We've already had dinner, had our walk, cleaned up the kitchen...I guess I should go finish folding/putting away the laundry. But, no, I'll wait until I HAVE to do it because it's on Galina's bed and she'll have to go to sleep in that bed, and Johnny will be on my hip crying because bedtime for Galina perfectly coincides with his "dinner" and the dogs will be laying completely in my way and I'll probably trip and yell at them, to which Galina will give a little half-laugh and say, "They're just dogs." She's loads of fun. There are so many things that she says everyday that I never write down. She'll probably appreciate it one day. However, I'll share what I can think of right now (because she's busy spinning and pretending to sneeze for Johnny, who is in the bouncy chair thing wondering, "What in the world?" - also something Galina likes to say about him):
Today, after she made a mess with paint and I told her it would be awhile before she could help me paint again, she slumped down onto the floor and despaired, "Oh no! I'll never paint again!"
She's picked up saying, "I really, truly need it!"
Loves to talk. Loves. Loves. Loves to talk.

I can't think of anymore right now. We miss Daddy. But, we hope he's doing well and that we don't see him until the end of October. I miss home. I know I'll miss Hawaii once we leave, but for now I miss home. Okay, goodnight all. Well, one more thing, Galina renamed Bing and George, Cornelius and Thumbelina. She also renamed Johnny. He's now "Buzz Lightyear." Of course, anything can be Buzz Lightyear, she just brought out a Carebear dressed as a bunny rabbit and told me, "Mommy, this is Buzz Lightyear! The coolest toy ever!"

Can't imagine what this house will be like once both of them are talking!
