We have a crawler. For about a week now.
Yay Johnny!!
We got to the beach early Saturday morning. Like 8:45 early.
But you can't be unhappy at the beach!
We put Johnny's toes in. The water was FA-REEZING.
Yes, I know it's Hawaii - but it was like ice water.
He would not put his feet down again.
So...up to the blanket he went.
And he looks happy about it, doesn't he?
He's still so little.
Early morning Lanikai. The Twin Islands. They aren't twins, but for some reason that's what they're called.
This girl loves the beach. Loves. Loves. Loves the beach.
Could care less that it's freezing. She just jumps right in!
Discovering sand.
"I am somewhat less than amused."
What is this stuff? Why won't it come off?
Should I taste it?
Don't try to stop me...
Yum.
Although he really wasn't sure what to do with it, he did try to eat it several times.
Galina tried to entertain him a bit.
But it didn't stop him from trying to eat it, which meant Daddy kept pushing his hand away from his mouth and if you look at the pick close up he's starting to frown. Then he started crying. Poor Johnny.
And when her lips were actually blue, and the sun was finally out, we packed up and went to the dentist where Galina actually sat in the chair, on her own, leaned back and "let" Dr. Millar count and clean her teeth. She cried. A lot. But made it through and got a Tigger toothbrush and a timer (which Brian timed and it was 2 min. 7 sec. - that's a long time to brush your teeth...).
Good times. Good times. Anyhow - our days are numbered here in Hawaii. We'll cram as much beach time in as we can, even though we've had four years to go to the beach whenever we felt like it. We'll probably go more this month than the past four years combined. I know Galina is going to miss Hawaii, but I don't think she'll realize it. Or dwell on it. I'm grateful for that.
Let the countdown begin...28 days to go...

Love the pictures...it is early spring there...guess the water can be a little cold...Love that Galina loves the water...she will here too...it will just be different...maybe she will take up sailing up in Mass! We're counting down the days too!
Can't believe how fast the time is going! Galina is an outdoors girl and she will love Ma. as long as she can get outside I'm sure! Johnny is so cute with the sand! And what did Brian expect him to do with it?? It hasn't hurt Galina :)
