We spent about thirty minutes hunting for dandelions the other night just to take a few pictures :)
Picking honeysuckle.
Sibling shots are always fun :)
Way back in early April we put all of the grandkids to work in Pop Pop's garden. It's full of plants now, but I forgot to post these.
Jayden, Molly's nephew, came to help out too! He's such a sweet kid!
Lydia has glasses now!
What a life the dogs lead!
Johnny gets some serious bed-head in the mornings. I love it! He doesn't love the brushing later on, but I love when he walks out in the morning, carrying "piddee and bankee" (he climbs out of his crib on his own now but doesn't want a big-boy bed yet) and has a big fuzz ball of hair behind his head.
Our cat is such a mess. He never gets called "D.C." unless he's scratched Galina and then she'll call him, "Darn Cat!!" Otherwise, he gets a new name everyday. It's fun to see what Galina comes up with. She's been on cat restriction for a few weeks now though because the cat would scratch/bite ONLY her. Probably because she antagonizes it every chance she gets, so she's not allowed to play with it, hold it, anything with it for awhile. We'll see if we can't get him to forget that she's a fellow kitten.
The dying of our Easter eggs. We used food coloring (the gels and it wasn't great) with vinegar. The kids had fun, which is all that counts. Don't you love Galina's beret? It was Brian's when he was in middle school...and he wore it then...
I'm almost ashamed to post this picture because it is the only picture we have of Easter Sunday. I have no idea why we didn't take a family picture other than because we were actually with family. But, Brian and I gave talks at church and I had ordered this skirt from ebay (somebody in China) and had to change out the lining under the lace because it stopped a few inches above my knees. I changed it out the night before and was incredibly happy with the results, so I made Brian take this picture for me to text to Em and Molls. It's not often that I look like a modern adult. Typically I look like a...well, something outdated at any rate.
Painting part of their Easter gifts.
One of the rare occasions that the cat is calm and happy with Galina, so it had to be documented.
She's holding a snake. A very small, nonpoisonous snake, but still, a snake. No fear. Which is, in and of itself, scary.
Who's that?
A quick trip to Mike's Tree Farm and their very disappointing petting zoo, but you can't keep the kids from having fun!
Brian trying to burn himself and all of the woods around the house up. Fire + Brian = Disaster
Perhaps the Firefighter route is the way to go simply as preventative :)
These beetles always intrigued me growing up, so now I inflict their coolness onto my kids. Luckily, Galina loves bugs. Johnny does too, but from a distance :)

A week ago you could have used the dandelions in our yard. It almost looked like a field if them. Miss you guys.
