say goodbye to a very good friend...
These two wonderful ladies have made Hawaii so much fun. Honestly, they have made ALL the difference. Marena, on the left, isn't going anywhere for a bit, and I'm glad of that, but Alyssa, in the middle, is headed for bigger and better things in Japan!
I'm so sad to see her go. My first Sunday in Hawaii she came and introduced herself. She has the most awesome smile, spirit and personality - and family! It's been so much fun getting to know them all. Bittersweet because we knew the day would soon come that she'd get orders and leave. Well, I'm very bummed but feel very blessed to have made such a dear friend and I hope we'll be able to keep in touch, 'til we meet again.

Faces to go with names, sweet! So sad she is leaving Katie, especially since she has been such a great friend!
The downside of being a military wife..you make the best of friends--then you have to say good bye.
However, when your kids get all grown it makes for lots of places/people to visit!
