I'd like you to meet Marena and Sam Nunez. Marena is my best pal here in Hawaii.
She made her dress from a regency style pattern - so fun! It turned out beautifully!

The ceremony was on the USS Missouri, and we were allowed to wander around the boat for a few hours before the ceremony started. Then we ate dinner beneath tents on the pier next to the boat. It was certainly an interesting environment. The Missouri is the boat that the Japanese signed their surrender on after the attack on Pearl Harbor.
The sunset was gorgeous, the bar was open (which made for interesting company...) and we weren't thrilled with the food. But if you want to have a good time, you will. And, we did.
The souvenirs this year were an umbrella for the women and a coin for the men with 3rd Marine Regiment's logo on one side and the "Mighty Mo" on the other. Galina thinks Brian brought it home for her, and in all truth, he may as well have because he'll let her have it in an instant. He's such a 'girl's daddy'. Well, hopefully we'll have a professional picture to share soon! Until then, hope you enjoy these...
