I'm always "improving" around our house. Improving = me not doing much else (housework, cooking, interacting with B and G)
I found this desk in a pile on the side of the road. I had to hunt a bit to find the drawers. The top drawer is broken, right now the face is just sitting in there. I've given Brian the task of repairing it...
All sanded down, as much as I was willing to at any rate.
Stained and polyurethaned. Top drawer is still just a false front, and the hardware that was on it didn't match the pulls on the bottom drawers. Since I like those pulls better, I'm going to hunt for new knobs for the top drawer. I was thinking colored glass - any opinions? Blue, green, red, pink, clear?
Well this is the new layout. I'm still working on recovering that chair. One of these days (Brians estimate was 3 years) I'll get it done. I've got everything I need - except patience.
I also decided to get rid of the entertainment center we have our little tv on - poor Brian. But one of these days I'll have everything just right for this house :) and then we'll get orders.

You truly are incredible Katie! No...you just got lots of the Kokinda genes :) Love it...looks nice. Try one of those catalogues, like...can't think of one, right now, but you know what I mean...they sell the glass knobs in different colors. Love you all.

So, World Market sells lots of pretty knobs...also, in the beginning of your post you mentioned not interacting with B and G, the dogs? lol!
