So, this is just a step down from what I'd really like. Don't get me wrong, I like it but, I guess I loved my old table more than I realized - and sometimes I miss it a great deal :( - but it wasn't what I really wanted. I do miss having a padded chair (or 8) to choose to sit in, and lean back in...but I wanted benches. I made these, and they're perfect...for a child sized table. Using legs just makes them feel too small and unstable. So, that's the table that I refinished from the curb. It's not bad - scratches easily. The chairs...well they need to either be black or brown or the same color as the benches. The mint green just isn't working for me. Anyhow, so I'm not really any closer to what I want in the kitchen. I know how you feel. Our kitchen table was Aaron's grandparents and we only have four chairs left that match it (the others broke-one when I sat down it just shattered). I know EXACTLY the set I want and it will just have to "show up" one day for me to get it. I'll let you know when that day gets closer:)
The dining room still looks inviting and comfortable. If I know you though you're already planning the next upgrade :) Keep those projects going...Love and miss you all so much!!!
