A typical afternoon in our house = dogs covered in blankets, more often than not they're locked in her bedroom with her too...
We've started a "homeschool" with another little girl that's just a month younger than Galina. Her name is Gentry. We were talking about houses, well homes. Galina discovered scissors. Homes went out the window.
Finally! This little guy is history. Not dead. Just relocated. Permanently, we hope. Brian drove him to Kapa'a Quarry Road.
We're smiling! A lot! Well, sometimes :)
And...he's discovered his fists.
We got Galina a bigger pool. It's a pain, but at least she can play in the water, as opposed to sitting in the water and standing and sitting. Now, she can play.
Hmmm, the camera's out.
We've also entered the world of cloth diapers. It's not too bad. I feel for Johnny at night, when he has two inserts in his diaper. His knees couldn't touch even if he wanted them to.
My latest project. The church got new rockers for the nursing room. This one is now mine :) Gentry's mom, Ashley, got the other one and we'll eventually get them recovered. I'm excited!!

I think this was a sad face, maybe a grump face. I was playing around with a sunshade for a car, trying to get it to put more light on her face. I don't think it was working because there really wasn't any light to deflect onto her face. Oh well, she's a mess and I like to update her pictures. She's started asking questions like this, "Is it for me, or for you?" Especially when she already knows the answer. So, it would go something like this:
Me - Galina, here is your toothbrush.
Galina - Is it for me or for you or not?
What else is she doing...? Obsessed with The Little Mermaid and Toy Story 2 and 3. Refuses naps, unless I absolutely fight with her, then I regret it because she'll refuse to go to bed at night. Yesterday was Saturday. We went to the mall for lunch. By the time we got home, we figured she could use a nap. Fought with her to take a nap. Finally fell asleep at 3. Slept until 6. Yes, we could wake her up, but she is AWFUL if we wake her up. Rotten. So we didn't. So she slept. We had promised her a trip to the beach. Loaded up. Got there at 6:15ish. Stayed an hour. She was in full-blown melt-down stage at the end. Got home, gave bath. Figured she'd go right to sleep. Dinner was late (okay, it was an awful night...) and by 9:30 p.m. she had thrown up the pb&j. Instead of going in and out of her bedroom all night, I figured I'd let her fall asleep in the recliner watching Toy Story. Yeah, 11 p.m. Wide awake. Finished the entire movie. Then went to bed. UP at 6:35 a.m. Seriously?

This guy is a mess too! He smiles, wiggles, cries, coos (according to Galina he says, "Wah-LLLLL!" always.) and is pretty good. He doesn't like riding in the car. Great.
Brian leaves in approximately 2 weeks. Then what am I going to do?

Partyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy!!! That is what you can do when Brian leaves...just joking! I cannot believe it is already that close! I love love love the pictures of Galina and Johnny!!! They are so gorgeous! So you do not think the car shade works then?? This is good to know, so I do not go out and get one! Ha ha!! =0)
I use one of thosecar shades that clings to the window, it was HUGE and I had to cut it to fit but Olivia loves it because it really works. I was thinking of trying cloth diapers this time and Aaron said it would be too messy but then again he has changed maybed 5 diapers. They both have such beautiful faces and smiles.
I like Em's comment :~) Just think...you will not have to share the car! Crazy times with the kiddos, but I told you a long time ago that when you have kids...sleep is over-rated...you will get used to doing without it...and your sanity too (forgot that part since my memory left too). Love you all!
Too much fun! I love the pool!! I'll probably get a bigger one next year...I've used the little one for two summers so it got good use :) Of course, next year little miss could use is I suppose! Johnny is so cute! He is becoming quite a chunky boy! Home-school looks like fun! Miss y'all!
