I wish this had been in the middle of the night. But, nope, peacefully sleeping once everyone else is awake. This was the theme of October/November...

We drove up to the Temple one Saturday morning. Just because. Galina loves to walk the Temple grounds. But she remembered the dedication last year and kept asking to go inside. One day...

I tried to get a bit of the Temple in the background for him :)
Brian would take both kids outside for me once he got home and let me make dinner (or do whatever) for about twenty minutes. Galina literally ran circles around him.

Yeah. He's awake. It's about 3 a.m. in this picture. That was a tough night. And, yes, he slept the rest of the night in that swing. But luckily that's the only night he's ever done it. However... that's not saying that I won't pull it out again if I need to. In fact, he's napping in it right now, and we're going on 3 hours. If it works, it works.
We tried cereal. That is a definite, "No."

Attempted hiking. The kids actually did great. However, we had parked halfway in a no parking zone and, while on the trail, we heard a truck beeping as it backed up. It worried us that we'd come back to no truck. So, twenty minutes up the mountain, we turned around. It was a garbage truck. But we didn't want to press our luck, so we went and got burgers :)
I think the following Saturday Brian took Galina and the dogs on a hike without Johnny and I. They made it the entire trail.

We also visited the Ho'omaluhia Botanical Gardens in Kaneohe and fed the fish. It was just a short trip, but got us out of the house. Brian let the fish try to eat his fingers and Galina was happy running and picking up leaves and running some more. Her energy knows no bounds.
Unless, of course, she's playing Sleeping Beauty.
